🌵 Desert Days, Self-Tape Wins, & The Ultimate Vintage Truck Gift
There is nothing quite like loading up and heading out into the dust to clear your head and celebrate the people you love.
Recently, we packed up for a quick overnight trip to celebrate Kat’s birthday out near the Arroyo Saladin truck trails in San Diego. It was wild, incredibly windy, and absolutely perfect.
We brought along El Ramblito, which is the most charming vintage Toyota truck you’ve ever seen. The girls claimed the vintage truck for the trail ride, while the guys trailed behind in the Tacoma. We spent the night under the stars, cut into a delicious carrot cake, and just soaked in the desert energy.

This cute selfie was actually taken right after a self-tape session in my studio. I kept it grounded, hit submit, and I am so incredibly happy to share that I officially booked the job!
It is such a beautiful reminder that when you take the time to step away to enjoy your life, and put your art out into the universe from a place of ease, then the right doors open up.
When we weren't exploring the trails, I was working on a few secret projects. Michelle wanted to gift something deeply meaningful and custom to Benito for his birthday to match his love for his vintage truck.
I hit the jewelry bench and designed this custom heirloom piece:
